Training & Support
- Excellent communication network: With our centralized contact support center, powerful 1-800 number, state-of-the-art web-enabled database, e-mail services, and wireless technology, you’re never more than a call or e-mail away from support.
- Free marketing materials: We’ll provide you with an initial package of business cards, brochures, door hangers, note pads, and much more! We also provide ideas and guidelines for the use of these items in the Yellow Van Handyman Operations Manual. In addition, we’ll provide press releases you can use to announce the opening of your business to local media or keep them informed of HomeTask Support Center news.
- Monthly bookkeeping service: We know that bookkeeping can be a huge frustration and distraction to Franchise Partners. So, we have designed the system so that provided you keep track of your expense and income information, the rest can be done for you. Franchise Partners have the option of using a recommended service level agreement with their contracted bookkeeping service or managing their own books. In addition, we’ve already set up a relationship with a credit card processing company, so the initiation of your accounts is quick and simple.
- Monthly financial reporting: On top of providing the bookkeeping basics within our business management system, we also give you monthly financial reports that are benchmarked with your fellow Franchise Partners. This is a fantastic tool to learn how to increase your performance.
- On-line scheduler: Our easy-to-use on-line scheduler lets us schedule your appointments to suit your individual needs. Just block out any days or hours that you need for any reason and the scheduler works around you. If your child has a soccer game then by all means, make the game!
- Service-van support: We have developed a color and design scheme for our service vans that is both eye catching and clearly understandable—a great way to market your business. We also provide the initial set of service van graphics free of charge to new Franchise Partners. All we ask is that you cover the cost of the installation of the graphics and the fees for shipping and handling of the vinyl graphics. You are also responsible for getting your service van painted the approved HomeTask yellow, or ordering if from the factory with the correct color. (The fine print: You’re required to have the painting and graphics application performed by an approved and professional vendor. The installation of the vinyl graphics is normally between $150 - $400. Painting of the service van is normally $600 - $800)
- Free HomeTask uniform: We have put together a clothing gear package that helps you make a high-impact first impression. The initial set of clothing gear is provided for free at the initiation of a new franchise. Future orders are sold to the Franchise Partners at an extremely reasonable discount rate posted on our clothing gear pricing sheet.
- Free partner training: To help get you going, we provide training that includes in-class work and ride-along experience with an existing Franchise Partner. We also have a library of resources available to you so you can continue learning as you go.
- Team Meetings: We hold periodic team meetings where Franchise Partners can tell HomeTask Support Center Staff what works and what doesn’t work about our process and how we can improve it. In other words, we want your input to help our company be the best it can be.
- Family Vacations: These getaways allow us to grow and have fun together. They provide an opportunity for you and Yellow Van Handyman to gain momentum by celebrating our successes, honoring each other, and looking into the future.
- HomeTask Cares Foundation: This foundation allows Franchise Partners along with their friends and family to donate their services to needy people in their community.
- Available health and dental care plans: Finding your own health or dental care can be difficult and expensive. We have arranged for health and dental care plans with leading providers for your optional participation.
