Overview
Valpak has been a leader in the cooperative direct mail industry. The
company, founded by Terry Loebel in Clearwater, Fl. as a way to service
local businesses with local advertising means, has grown to some 200
franchises across North America and Puerto Rico. Valpak remains the
leader in an industry we pioneered and continues to grow. As a leading
franchise company, Valpak is heavily involved with the International
Franchise Association (IFA). We are continually striving to build an
outstanding network of franchisees. At Valpak, we consider our
franchisee network to be business partners and customers, but most
importantly, a part of the Valpak family.
Products & Services
The Valpak brand is defined by its targeted, highly-receptive, and
upscale audience. The blue Valpak envelope is our flagship product and
is delivered to nearly 46 million homes each month in the United
States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Each year we work with some 65,000
local and national advertisers.

Training & Support
Your initial training starts with a commitment from Team One - the support team for all first year franchisees.
- Each new franchise is assigned a Franchise Development Consultant (FDC) who becomes the New Franchise Owner's strategic partner and primary point of contact throughout the first year.
- Initial training includes a week in Largo, FL where you will attend New Franchise Owner Training I (NFOT I) and get a complete overview of all aspects of running the business.
- You will also attend a separate two week Sales Orientation class in Largo. This powerful sales training workshop is mandatory for all new franchisees and is also available for any franchise sales representatives you may hire down the road.
- New Franchise Support Personnel will visit your location to conduct initial on-site administrative training, including office set-up and organization and explanation of the "New Franchise Owner Kit".
- After you have successfully completed several mailings, you will return to Largo for New Franchise Owner Training II (NFOT II).
- Throughout the year, Team One will help you examine and monitor the various phases of your business. A Franchise Financial Consultant will help you build your budget for the first year.
- You will also receive an expense-paid trip to Coupon University, the annual Valpak Sales Convention. It runs for three days and offers courses taught by franchisees, successful sales representatives, corporate staff, and outside professionals.
- Advancer Sales Training Programs for developing more sophisticated sales skills for the field.
- Leadership Development Programs designed to provide owners and managers with coaching skills to help them attract, guide, motivate, retain, develop and maintain successful account executives.
- On-demand training programs and Sales Skills Webinars through our online Distance Learning Center.

Are You a Good Fit for Valpak?
Many people dream of owning their own business, but it's a big step. Here are some questions to ask to see if you're ready:
- Am I self-motivated?
- If I am lacking skills in a certain area, am I willing to learn those skills and master them and/or willing to hire someone to handle those tasks?
- Do I understand that usually good things take time and everything is much more difficult than it initially seems?
- Am I willing to invest the hours necessary that successful entrepreneurs invest when they started their businesses?
- Do I have, or have access to, enough capital to start my business and handle the cash flow needs for initial start-up?
