Today the gift store division has grown to over 60 stores and merchandise includes kitchen accessories, as well as hundreds of unique gift ideas and several exclusive brands. "Christmas Stuffins" by Cherison, the "Laurel" Collection by Seagull Pewter and a complete line of cottons named "Loon Lake Weaver" imported by Index.

Training & Support
Getting into business is easy...being successful is tough. Front-end
training is critical to success. FB stresses training and retraining.
Qualified Head Office Personnel will guide you through the early
stages. Detailed planning goes into every phase. We will train you
right in your own store and will make sure you are confident and
professional. The training program never really stops. Our staff is
always available to assist with continuing operations. Records of
weekly sales, monthly profit/loss and open-to-buy reports are filed at
Head Office. Stores that aren't producing according to plan get a lot
of attention and help from FB executives. In addition, you will always
have a copy of the Operation Manual for reference.
FB management is a team of professionals who can teach you how to operate in the competitive market place of the millennium. Customers demand wider selection, better quality, better value and better service. They want a store to stimulate them with design, colour, texture and lighting. They want staff in the store to welcome them and take a genuine interest in their needs. We will train you to give customers what they want at a fair price and you will generate incredible sales and profits.
On a regular basis, franchise owners are encouraged to attend National and Regional educational seminars designed by Head Office to keep you up to date on industry trends, new products and promotional ideas. All franchise owners, key employees and company store managers are invited to attend. Top retail consulting firms and retail specialists are featured at these seminars, which are planned to coincide with major trade shows. Workshops are conducted whenever necessary to deal with specific business problems and regulations such as GST, Free Trade etc. Getting together is also a great opportunity for networking. Being part of a chain means straight talk from colleagues. Networking helps solve problems and keeps important business information flowing.
