Sign Store Services offers a complete turnkey program for people interested in owning a sign and graphic store or a high volume production store. We offer comprehensive packages, which covers every pertinent aspect of opening and running a business. We assist the owner in finding the proper location, then we negotiate the lease agreement on the owners behalf. Next, we design the interior of the store site to determine the proper number of store fixtures, equipment and materials for the package selected. Once this is determined WE SEND A WORK CREW TO THE STORE SITE and BUILD OUT the space and ready the store. When we are finished with our work we hand the store owner the key to the front door and you are in business! We provide extensive training and wonderful long-term support. Should the store owner require financing our finance department will offer professional assistance!

Training & Support

First, a computer loaded with the newest design software will be shipped to you. Initially, the time is spent on training the storeowner in creating designs, logos and correct layout practices, which can be a most confusing part of the business. The new owner will be taught how to use the software through both personal instruction and the completion of exercises contained in our Design Workbook. We begin with exercises that are very simple and progressively work towards more complicated designs. Completed exercises are emailed to our office where they are graded and discussed with the storeowner. Our trainers can look at your COMPUTER SCREEN and help with any problems the new owner may encounter. You work through the exercise book AT YOUR PACE AND ON YOUR TIMETABLE.
Next, we cover the operations manual. This manual covers pertinent topics on how to run a successful business. After each chapter the new storeowner is given a test. The answers will be graded and discussed. Again, we go from chapter to chapter on the new owners’ timetable. As the equipment arrives at the new store a representative of the manufacturer will train the storeowner on the use and maintenance of each item.
Of course our trainer will be at the store during the build out process. In addition to the training the store owners receive from the manufacturer’s representative our trainer will help the new owner become more comfortable with each piece of equipment. We have the new owner work through many exercises on EACH PIECE OF EQUIPMENT until the proper level of understanding is accomplished.
Training is also available on how to make business-to-business sales presentations. The trainer works with the owner to update the pricing modules and complete the sales booklet so the owner ends up with a complete listing of all the services the owner desires to provide and the pricing for each. Finally, the trainer would work with the owner on how to make sales calls and close deals and also attend the first face-to-face presentations alongside the new storeowner.
Then, after the store has been open for two to three weeks our trainer travels back to the new store and spends two days. The training materials are reviewed again with special emphasis spent on answering your questions and having the storeowner perform additional more complicated exercises.
At the end of the first 60 days of each new store’s business, Sign Store Services offers to perform a formal review of the store. The Store Owner submits a video of the entire store; we review the video in conjunction with the daily sales records, advertising history, payroll information, and other related information. Our Senior Management Staff participates in this 60-day review in an effort to confirm the new owners understand the workings of their business and they are headed in the right direction.
