Products & Services
Postal Connections is a network of franchise stores serving people with packaging, shipping, mail receiving, fax sending or receiving, duplicating, notary, online access, eBay auction support, packing and office supplies as well as numerous other services. We connect people to the rest of the world with the products we sell. We compete by adding personalized customer service to each transaction and offering alternatives in prices and shipping companies.
Postal Connections stores follow a business model, developed in the 1980’s, created to deliver postal and shipping services conveniently without long lines. This concept has spread worldwide driven by modern transportation, technology and the expansion of small office/home office (SOHO) businesses. Additionally, the growing numbers of working households, where time is limited and convenience is valuable, have become loyal and frequent customers.
Postal Connections stores follow a business model, developed in the 1980’s, created to deliver postal and shipping services conveniently without long lines. This concept has spread worldwide driven by modern transportation, technology and the expansion of small office/home office (SOHO) businesses. Additionally, the growing numbers of working households, where time is limited and convenience is valuable, have become loyal and frequent customers.
Training & Support
A total of nine days of comprehensive training is provided. This includes 5-days of live action training in one of our training stores working with customers, operating the business management system, and learning how the equipment works. Your training also includes 4-days in your store with our staff trainer. Your trainer will be there to help set up software systems, check that installations have been done correctly, supplies have arrived, and will be there for the first few days you are open. Your trainer will also spend one day training with you on your Ricoh printer/copier equipment and review grand opening marketing plans for your new store.
Postal Connections also adds an affiliation with our industry’s trade association to provide additional assistance to franchisees. We subsidize each new store’s first year membership in the Association and pay for participation in its licensing arm to bring the lowest shipper wholesale rates to franchisees to improve their margins.
We also buy each new store a proprietary accounting package, SAMS, based on Quick Books and designed specifically for Postal Connections accounting. This product provides valuable management tools and will help organize the business for your tax advisor.
Beginning with a subsidized grand opening campaign, stores are able to access five to six national marketing campaigns each year. Strategy and materials are delivered on www.postalconnections.net. We currently do not charge any national advertising or marketing fees. These marketing campaigns are optional for stores and are offered to enable franchisees to create their own materials using their color copier to lower printing costs while producing customized marketing items.
Our internal communications system gives franchisees 24-hour, 7-days a week access to updated marketing materials, operations manuals, best practices tips, newsletters, press releases, graphics, links to vendors, customer brochures, message board with fellow franchisees & much more.
Additionally, many support activities are delivered through franchisee network meetings. These meetings include an annual franchisee conference, local meetings and store visits by headquarters staff, as well as area meetings with groups of Postal Connections franchisees.
Postal Connections provides ongoing marketing support is provided from grand opening through ongoing promotion campaigns annually that are designed for local implementation. New products and business tools also are introduced after testing with objectives of helping to drive customer traffic into the store.
