Overview
Mr. George Despatie opened the first Giorgio restaurant in 1977 on
Sainte-Catherine East. Located on one of Montrealers’ favourite
arteries, the friendly restaurant quickly won the hearts of hungry
urbanites with its authentic Italian cuisine. Over the years, the
popular establishment grew into a chain, which now includes nine
restaurants, in and around the Montreal area.
Especially appreciated by groups of families and friends, Giorgio restaurants serve up classic Italian cuisine in a casual atmosphere, with a friendly and discreet service. Always on the lookout for recipes likely to please its customers, Giorgio’s regularly updates its menu in order to offer a varied selection. In 2006, Giorgio’s adopted a “bring your own wine” formula, a concept that is very popular among Quebecers.
With over 25 years experience, Giorgio’s has developed a franchise format that promotes a simplified management approach on a daily basis. Effective management tools are also at your disposal to help in the decision-making process.

Training & Support
Giorgio’s franchisees benefit from a tremendous advantage thanks to its
Central kitchen, which is owned by the chain. Located in Ville
Saint-Laurent, the Central kitchen prepares and distributes practically
everything on Giorgio’s menu. As a result, franchisees benefit from
continuous quality control, are guaranteed the best ingredients, have
excellent purchasing power, and deal with one main supplier rather than
numerous smaller ones. The chefs employed in the Central kitchen also
elaborate new recipes on a regular basis and ensure they are adequately
tested before being introduced into the menu.
Franchisees and their future employees receive a complete training in one of our restaurants. We also support franchisees in the recruitment of their personnel, equipment purchases, inventory management and obtaining the necessary permits.
Franchisees also have access to experts in management operations, marketing, IT and finance.
