Overview
In the year 2000, two restaurant entrepreneurs with a combined 36 years
of experience, bought the East Coast Wings brand. They quickly moved and
re-tooled the East Coast Wings concept and its menu. They realized that
there are not many buffalo style restaurants in America that offer a casual
full service buffalo wing restaurant that concentrated on the food part
of the menu verses pushing beer sales, or the bar concept. With the intention
to deliver an atmosphere where anyone, including families, could enjoy
the famous East Coast Wings style buffalo wings, they decided to design
a warm décor and trim back the bar atmosphere, creating the new East
Coast Wings & Grill that is known today.
With the new and fresh changes, people poured in the doors to see and try the unique blend of 42 flavors of buffalo style wings, and the business nearly doubled from the acquisition year of 2000. The entrepreneurs knew that they had delivered a unique buffalo wing style restaurant. In 2002, they began the building process for franchising their newly found, re-tooled and definitely a hit with patrons, Buffalo wings and variety menu concept.
Today East Coast Wings & Grill has 48 flavors and 350 combinations of buffalo style wings and some of the best sandwich plates in the industry. Our secret East Coast Wings hot sauce has been the catalyst in making our wings the best in Winston-Salem, NC and the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina. Winning the Triad, “War Of The Wings”, in 2003 and High Point, North Carolina's Best Wings in 2005 and 2006 was another notch in our quest in delivering, Americas best wings into all markets. To date, we have one of the finest Franchisee programs in the wings industry, and we are committed in helping entrepreneurs succeed.

East Coast Wings & Grill is a casual dining full service and
counter service restaurant with an emphasis of buffalo style wings. East
Coast Wings was originally founded in 1995. In 2000, Steve G. Kontos bought
the concept, and in 2002, Sam G. Ballas joined with him, and re-organized
it to what today's patrons know as "East Coast Wings & Grill".
With their 42 years of combined restaurant experience, East Coast Wings
& Grill has become a local favorite in all markets the brand has entered.
Our famous wings have consistently won, "Best Wings" in most all markets entered. And to boot, our brand has a very diversified menu: with our overstuffed sandwiches, super salads, deli style specialties and taste-tempting appetizers. Unique to East Coast Wings & Grill is our over forty-eight different flavors and 350 combinations of wings- Teriyaki Ginger Garlic, Honey Barbeque, Mango Habanero, Jamaican Jerk, Blue Cheese, Honey Mustard, Bourbon Street, Kickin' Thai, Southern Plum and many more. Our infamous Buffalo Shrimp, which is available in our 48 flavors, 9 heat indexes and 350 combinations, has quickly become the next best thing to our famous wings.
Since first founded in 1995, our regular patrons have told us our unique variety menu, friendly service, casual atmosphere and our wings are the reasons they keep coming back to East Coast Wings & Grill . That’s why we use only the freshest ingredients in all our food preparations.
Our deli-style meats are prepared with the finest cuts, and our infamous burgers are made hand patted daily with USDA choice ground beef. We hand make our onion rings, zucchini strips, french fries and hot chips, and ensure other appetizers are of high quality vendors. Our gulf shrimp is hand-battered right in our store. Our chicken sandwiches are always a favorite, along with our huge gourmet salads.

Our real estate department has a strategic alliance, Mid-Carolina Realty Group, Inc., who is skilled in restaurant site selection and site evaluation. Along with this alliance, our executive committee will work with you on screening sites for your restaurant, striving to bring them on-line as soon as possible but only after full consideration and evaluation relative to our site model. As always, there are local factors that must be applied, and Franchisee discipline to balance all factors in making the site a success.
Training
We will provide all Franchisee’s with a complete set of manuals that describe and explain how to implement our system, procedures, food and service standards. Our team of trainers is comprised of skilled professionals that teach you our system in a manner that promotes retention of skills. Our training team will be on the premises prior to opening and for 7 days after opening, hand-in-hand with your crew to ensure that everything is proceeding properly.
Operation Support
Our executive committee has extensive experience in business management and operations specifically in the restaurant industry. This committee has successfully managed the East Coast Wings & Grill concept and brings an extensive knowledge of operating systems and procedures. As a result of that experience, we have become confident at managing the bottom line and achieving our systems goals for food and labor cost, and assisting in daily operation of our franchisees.
Marketing
As a East Coast Wings & Grill Franchisee, you will participate in our Marketing Fund, and have complete support of our marketing director for your own marketing efforts. You will have guidance in strategies geared to building sales through your local marketing efforts. Of course, our staff will be available in guiding you on where and how to invest your market funds for full exposure and maximum return.
