A Letter From Our Founder
So, you're in the market for window coverings are you? Well, you've come to the right place.
Hi, I'm Tom Keller, President and Founder of The Blind Man, your full service window covering source. I've been in this industry since 1988 and I've seen it from all sides. I've worked in the factory building blinds; I've worked as an installer, personally installing over 20,000 blinds, shades, and shutters; and I've worked as a sales person for close to fifteen years. In that time I've seen a lot of dealers and fabricators come and then go and the common thread between them was their lack of service and professionalism.
The truth is anyone can get into the blinds business. But we are not in the blinds business; we are in the service business. We happen to sell blinds. Someone once told me to "do what you love and the money will follow". Well, at The Blind Man, we love what we do. Our philosophy is "money chases service". With this in mind our primary goal is to provide unparalleled customer service. If you're shopping for blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, or awnings, I invite you to call The Blind Man in your area and schedule your no pressure, in-home estimate. I'm confident you'll be glad you did.
What We Do
While in your home or office, we'll explain any products you're interested in and tell you the advantages and disadvantages of those products. We'll accurately measure your windows and give you an itemized estimate in writing. We refuse to use high-pressure sales tactics. for this reason, you're estimate will be good for 30 days. There is never an obligation to purchase nor is there a minimum purchase required. Most of the interior products we sell come with a manufacture's lifetime warranty. Most exterior products, such as awnings and rolling shutters, come with a ten year warranty and most motors come with a one to three year warranty. At The Blind Man, we also offer a free lifetime in-home service warranty (see our service warranty page for more details). We have over 100,000 blinds, shades, and shutters on the market and in 20 years have never charged for the in-home service of any of our products under the warranty.

Why Blind Man of America?
The idea is this…most of today's home owners know
what they want in window coverings, but they want someone else to do
the critical measuring and installation. That's where The Blind Man
comes in. We provide a huge selection of quality products, provide
expert measuring and installation, and guarantee it all! We provide
this service to our customers in the comfort of their own home and all
with unmatched customer service. It's a concept that consumers love and
a system that's easy to implement for our franchisees. But, does it
work? Judge for yourself. As a whole, our company averaged a 59%
closing ratio in 2004 which means 6 out of every 10 estimates we've
converted to sales. Our franchisees in business three years or more
averaged a 60% repeat and referral business, as well.
We are one of the largest window coverings businesses in Colorado with current franchises in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Aspen, Vail Valley, Thornton, and Fort Collins.
Other ways we convey a professional image to our customers is through our full-color TBMA Product Brochures which are available to TBMA franchisees. We have full-color professional ad slicks and professional radio spots; all designed to increase business activity and are available exclusively to TBMA franchisees. You can see that at The Blind Man you may be working for yourself, but you’re not working alone.
